2 Wheels to China Ratings

Food & Drink: 6/10

The food was not bad, but it was certainly not memorable. The beer was pretty impressive though.

Road conditions: 7/10

Quite suprising really, they were is very good condition. We did tend to go on lesser used roads, which might explain it to an extent, and we were only in the country for a couple of days on a popular route for cyclists.

Traffic: 8/10

Quiet and well-behaved. We never felt anything other than safe.

Scenery: 5/10

Fairly ordinary really, not that there is anything wrong with acres of flattish farmland, but it does become a bit monotonous.

People: 6/10

We have to be fair again, and say we were not there for long enough to guage much of anything, but Bratislava was a friendly city.

Bureaucracy: N/A

We waved our passports at the guard when we crossed the border, but probably didn't even need them. There were a large number of Austrian soldiers patrolling at various hidden points as we approached Slovakia. They all waved or said hello, but they do seem to take security of their border very seriously, so I wouldn't recommend jumping out at them - they had machine guns.
