2 Wheels to China Ratings

Food & Drink: 4/10

90% of the restaurants we saw in Belgian were Italian. Not that this is a particular problem, but it was not easy to discern what Belgian food actually is.

Road conditions: 9/10

Top class (but not as flat as we were led to believe!) All roads have a seperate cycle lane, and this even continues round the roundabouts!

Traffic: 9/10

If it's possible, Belgian drivers are even more cyclist-friendly than the French. We would go as far as to say that many even seem to give them priority on the road.

Scenery: 4/10

Flat and unspectacular. We went through some unsightly industrial areas, which did not help.

People: 6/10

We did not have that much interaction, partly because we were not there for long, and partly because we couldn't speak Flemish. The hoteliers were universally friendly and very accommodating of the bikes.

Bureaucracy: N/A

Miscellaneous

We couldn't find a single campsite!
